Reiki and Therapeutic Touch - What's the Difference?

Here's an article addressing this question. From what I can tell, a nurse observed a Reiki session, took all the spirituality out of it, decided anyone can do it without receiving attunements, and assumed they could "direct" energy whereas Reiki "allows" it. I personally am frustrated that, because this was done by a nurse, the medical industry is inclined to trust Therapeutic Touch more than Reiki.
But maybe I didn't read it carefully enough. if after reading this article, you come away with a different impression, I'd love to hear about it!

2006 Reiki study shows significant decrease in symptoms

Reiki therapists received the Health Care Heroes award from the Baltimore Daily Record.
This is a very interesting formal clinical study on the effects of Reiki on pain, anxiety and malaise. Pre and post tests were made and results compared. Very significant improvements were made!

Subtle energy is used in this context as Einstein used it, that is, to describe a type of energy that is at present not fully understood or measurable with today's equipment. This is similar to how electromagnetism was viewed only 250 years ago. The effects could be seen but not directly measured. The vision of the research team and the results of the studies we have conducted so far have attracted eminent scientists involved in cutting-edge human energy research. For example, Dr. William A. Tiller, Professor Emeritus of Stanford University and a pioneering researcher of subtle energy, will be on the IHM research team as they conduct their ground-breaking studies. Dr. Vladimir Poponin, formerly of the Institute of Biochemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a co-discoverer of the DNA phantom effect, has also joined the IHM research team. For related research that researchers at IHM want to continue, Dr. William A. Tiller and his colleagues at Stanford University developed a subtle energy detector -- an ultra-sensitive Geiger counter-type device -- with which they demonstrated the existence of an energy field that is not in the electromagnetic spectrum. With this special detector, Dr. Tiller demonstrated that this subtle energy field responds to intentional human focus. The combination of the instrument that detects the DNA phantom effect and the ultra-sensitive gas discharge detector represent two of the most advanced technologies known for the scientific study of subtle energy. Much of the basic research and the proofs that these are workable technologies have already been completed. These instruments will provide the tools for careful study of subtle energy that will greatly advance our understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.

IHM is also designing and planning to conduct experiments with a number of other types of detectors as well. A number of studies conducted at IHM have demonstrated the effects of subtle energies on changes in the conformational states of DNA and the structure of water. (References for the published aspects of this work are provided at the end of this section).

Measuring the Human Subtle Energy Fields

To date, we have monitored electrophysiological changes in the body, associated with the progress of an individual's inner self-management, via skin-contact devices like ECG, EEG, etc. This provides some essential information but much is lost, especially for the electrical and magnetic processes going on in the body. The important information of a more subtle field nature is completely lost. The next step is to monitor these important fields in the space adjacent to the body via non-contact devices at distances from inches to many feet. Here, one wishes to detect the field shape, amplitude and the polarization present at a grid of points surrounding the body. To do this properly, for a single field, one needs an array of detectors of the same basic type (ten or more). The ability to discriminate details increases with the number of detectors in the array. Individual Detector Types:

(ø) A conventional Langmuir type device can be used to measure the electrostatic fields and provides the voltage distribution in space and time.

(E) A new type of dielectric polarization detector that we are developing is capable of giving us both the magnitude and orientation of the electric field in space and time.

(H) Squid detector elements are now available to provide measurements of the magnetic fields as a function of space and time.

(A) The magnetic vector potential fields include both an electrodynamic part and subtle parts which we have reason to believe are associated with the more subtle fields. The Josephson Junctions used in the squid detector have the ability to measure A directly in space and time. Thus, the independent and simultaneous measurement of the magnetic, electric, electrostatic and magnetic vector potentials will allow one to gain a measure of the subtle fields.

Research has shown that humans emit photons in at least the range from the infrared to the ultraviolet. We anticipate that both the flux and frequency spectra of these photons will shift dependent upon the actual internal emotional and mental states of the subject. Solid state photo cells are now available over this entire spectral range.

Electromyographs Measure Human Energy Fields

[PureInsight.org] In his well-known book The Holographic Universe (1991, Harper Collins, publisher), theoretical physicist Michael Talbot discusses the work of Valerie Hunt on energy fields. He writes:

"Over the past twenty years Valerie Hunt, a physical therapist and professor of kinesiology at UCLA, has developed a way to confirm experimentally the existence of the human energy field. Medical science has long known that humans are electromagnetic beings. Doctors routinely use
electrocardiographs to make electrocardiograms (EKGs), records of the electrical activity of the heart, and electroencephalographs to make electroencelophalograms (EEGs) of the human brain's electrical activity. Hunt discovered that an electromyograph, a device used to measure the electrical activity in the muscles, can also pick up the electrical presence of the human energy field." (Page 175)

From this, Hunt came up with the idea to make electromyograms (EMGs) of people's energy fields. Hunt confirmed the existence of the energy fields with this apparatus.

This ties in with what is said in Zhuan Falun:
"A qigong master has gong, I have participated in an experiment, and many other qigong masters have also undergone this experiment to measure their energy. The material elements in gong can be detected by many present-day apparatus." (Lecture Two) Perhaps EMGs are one of the devices used in our present day scientific and technological community that can measure the material elements in gong.

Talbot goes on to describe more of Hunt's findings with respect to energy frequencies found among different people. One example supports the hypothesis that thinking primarily about topics from the mundane world specifically lowers one's energy. He writes:

"One of Hunt's most startling findings is that certain talents and abilities seem to be related to the presence of specific frequencies in a person's energy field. She has found that when the main focus of a person's consciousness is on the material world, the frequencies of their energy field tend to be in the lower range and are not too far removed from the 250 cps [-cycles per second] of the body's biological frequencies. In addition to these, people who are psychic or who have
healing abilities also have frequencies of roughly 400 to 800 cps in their field." (Page 176)

Thus in cultivation we are asked to not be too attached to things in the changing temporary world such as pay raises, xinxing frictions, and so on, because it occupies us with the mundane world and has a literal and demonstrable adverse affect on the level of our energy and our energy level. In this way, mind intent and topics of thought are shown to be intrinsically linked to one's energy and thus one's level. People with lower level supernormal abilities are said here to have frequencies between 400-800 cps. However, higher level folks have an even higher frequency, as Talbot relates:

"People who have frequencies above 900 cps are what Hunt calls mystical personalities."

"Using a modified electromyogram (an electromyogram can normally only detect frequencies up to 20,000 cps), Hunt has encountered individuals who have frequencies as high as 200,000 cps in their energy fields."

SQUID Device measures human magnetic field

SQUID Magnetometer

The superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) consists of two superconductors separated by thin insulating layers to form two parallel Josephson junctions. The device may be configured as a magnetometer to detect incredibly small magnetic fields -- small enough to measure the magnetic fields in living organisms. Squids have been used to measure the magnetic fields in mouse brains to test whether there might be enough magnetism to attribute their navigational ability to an internal compass.
Threshold for SQUID: 10-14 T
Magnetic field of heart: 10-10 T
Magnetic field of brain: 10-13 T

The great sensitivity of the SQUID devices is associated with measuring changes in magnetic field associated with one flux quantum. One of the discoveries associated with Josephson junctions was tha flux is quantized in units

If a constant biasing current is maintained in the SQUID device, the measured voltage oscillates with the changes in phase at the two junctions, which depends upon the change in the magnetic flux. Counting the oscillations allows you to evaluate the flux change which has occurred.

Josephson Devices

Devices based upon the characteristics of a Josephson junction are valuable in high speed circuits. Josephson junctions can be designed to switch in times of a few picoseconds. Their low power dissipation makes them useful in high-density computer circuits where resistive heating limits the applicability of conventional switches.

Parallel Josephson junctions are used in SQUID devices for the detection of minute magnetic fields.

Josephson Junction

Two superconductors separated by a thin insulating layer can experience tunneling of Cooper pairs of electrons through the junction. The Cooper pairs on each side of the junction can be represented by a wavefunction similar to a free particle wavefunction. In the DC Josephson effect, a current proportional to the phase difference of the wavefunctions can flow in the junction in the absence of a voltage. In the AC Josephson effect, a Josephson junction will oscillate with a characteristic frequency which is proportional to the voltage across the junction. Since frequencies can be measured with great accuracy, a Josephson junction device has become the standard measure of voltage.

The wavefunction which describes a Cooper pair of electrons in a superconductor is an exponential like the free particle wavefunction. In fact, all the Cooper pairs in a superconductor can be described by a single wavefunction in the absence of a current because all the pairs have the same phase - they are said to be "phase coherent" (Clarke). If two superconductors are separated by a thin insulating layer, then quantum mechanical tunneling can occur for the Cooper pairs without breaking up the pairs. Clarke envisions this condition as the wavefuntions for Cooper pairs on each side of the junction penetrating into the insulating region and "locking together" in phase. Under these conditions, a current will flow through the junction in the absence of an applied voltage (the DC Josephson effect).

Josephson junction standards can yield voltages with accuracies of one part in 10^10. NIST has produced a chip with 19000 series junctions to measure voltages on the order of 10 volts with this accuracy.

Science Measures the Human Energy Field

Energy is a theme that permeates many areas of complementary health care, including Reiki. For historic and emotional reasons, two key words have not been mentionable in polite academic research society: "energy" and "touch." Hence it is not surprising that Reiki therapy has been neglected by mainstream biomedical science.

This picture is changing rapidly because of exciting research from around the world. The tale of how concepts of "healing energy" have swung from suspicion and ridicule to respectability is one of the most fascinating and clinically significant stories that can be told.

As in many other areas of investigation, what we were absolutely certain about 20 years ago has changed dramatically. For example, in a few decades scientists have gone from a conviction that there is no such thing as an energy field around the human body, to an absolute certainty that it exists. Moreover, we have begun to understand the roles of energy fields in health and disease. Most people are simply not aware of this research, and persist in the attitude that there is no logical basis for energy healing.

The main reason for the change in outlook is that sensitive instruments have been developed that can detect the minute energy fields around the human body. Of particular importance is the SQUID magnetometer (1) which is capable of detecting tiny biomagnetic fields associated with physiological activities in the body. (Figure 1) This is the same field that sensitive individuals have been describing for thousands of years, but that scientists have ignored because there was no objective way to measure it.

To summarize the discoveries that have been made, the editors of a new international journal commissioned a review of the concept of "healing energy" (2). While we have been researching this topic for some 15 years, the preparation of an in-depth review led to a thorough reexamination of the subject, with some unexpected conclusions.

For the most part, key discoveries are not being made by scientists studying methods such as Reiki, TT and HT. Instead, traditional scientists, following customary logic and scientific methods, have begun to clarify the roles of various kinds of energy in the healing process. Hence the picture that is emerging has the same scientific foundations that underlie modern clinical medicine. For details, see our published articles (3).

The human energy field.

It has long been known that activities of cells and tissues generate electrical fields that can be detected on the skin surface. But the laws of physics demand that any electrical current generates a corresponding magnetic field in the surrounding space. Since these fields were too tiny to detect, biologists assumed they could have no physiological significance.

This picture began to change in 1963. Gerhard Baule and Richard McFee of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY detected the biomagnetic field projected from the human heart. They used two coils, each with 2 million turns of wire, connected to a sensitive amplifier.

In 1970, David Cohen of MIT, using a SQUID magnetometer, confirmed the heart measurements. By 1972, Cohen had improved the sensitivity of his instrument, enabling him to measure magnetic fields around the head produced by brain activities.

Subsequently, it has been discovered that all tissues and organs produce specific magnetic pulsations, which have come to be known as biomagnetic fields. The traditional electrical recordings, such as the electrocardiogram and electroencephalogram, are now being complemented by biomagnetic recordings, called magnetocardiograms and magnetoencephalograms. For various reasons, mapping the magnetic fields in the space around the body often provides a more accurate indication of physiology and pathology than traditional electrical measurements.

Pathology alters the biomagnetic field

In the 1920’s and 1930’s, a distinguished researcher at Yale University School of Medicine, Harold Saxon Burr, suggested that diseases could be detected in the energy field of the body before physical symptoms appear. Moreover, Burr was convinced that diseases could be prevented by altering the energy field.

These concepts were ahead of their time, but are now being confirmed in medical research laboratories around the world. Scientists are using SQUID instruments to map the ways diseases alter biomagnetic fields around the body. Others are applying pulsating magnetic fields to stimulate healing. Again, sensitive individuals have been describing these phenomena for a long time, but there was no logical explanation of how it could happen.

Projection of energy from the hands of healers.

In the early 1980’s, Dr. John Zimmerman began a series of important studies on therapeutic touch, using a SQUID magnetometer at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. Zimmerman discovered that a huge pulsating biomagnetic field emanated from the hands of a TT practitioner. The frequency of the pulsations is not steady, but "sweeps" up and down, from 0.3 to 30 Hz (cycles per second), with most of the activity in the range of 7-8 Hz (Figure 2). The biomagnetic pulsations from the hands are in the same frequency range as brain waves and scientific studies of the frequencies necessary for healing indicate that they naturally sweep back and forth through the full range of therapeutic frequencies, thus being able to stimulate healing in any part of the body.

Confirmation of Zimmerman’s findings came in 1992, when Seto and colleagues, in Japan, studied practitioners of various martial arts and other healing methods. The "Qi emission" from the hands is so strong that they can be detected with a simple magnetometer consisting of two coils, of 80,000 turns of wire. Since then, a number of studies of QiGong practitioners have extended these investigations to the sound, light, and thermal fields emitted by healers. What is particularly interesting is that the pulsation frequency varies from moment to moment. Moreover, medical researchers developing pulsating magnetic field therapies are finding that these same frequencies are effective for ‘ jump starting’ healing in a variety of soft and hard tissues, even in patients unhealed for as long as 40 years. Specific frequencies stimulate the growth of nerves, bones, skin, capillaries, and ligaments. Of course Reiki practitioners and their patients have daily experiences of the healing process being "jump started," and academic medicine is now beginning to accept this therapy as logical and beneficial because of these new scientific findings. In Figure 2 we have bracketed portions of the signal that correspond to the frequencies used in medical devices that stimulate the healing of particular tissues. Individual differences in energy projection and detection.

To study the projection of energy from the hands of therapists, scientists must first recognize that there are huge individual differences between people. Repeated practice of various techniques can enhance the effect.

There are logical neurophysiological and biophysical explanations for the roles of practice and intention. [Editors note: It would be interesting to use these detection techniques to measure the effect of a Reiki attunement on the strength and frequency of biomagnetic energies coming from the hands and also to measure how therapeutic frequencies may change when treating various conditions in the body.]

It is not widely understood that "brain waves" are not confined to the brain, but actually spread throughout the body via the perineural system, the connective tissue sheathes surrounding all of the nerves. Dr. Robert O. Becker has described how this system, more than any other, regulates injury repair processes throughout the body. Hence the entire nervous system acts as an "antenna" for projecting the biomagnetic pulsations that begin in the brain, specifically in the thalamus.

Moreover, waves that begin as relatively weak pulsations in the brain appear to gather strength as they flow along the peripheral nerves and into the hands. The mechanism of this amplification probably involves the perineural system and the other connective tissue systems, such as the fascia that are intimately associated with it.

Conclusion

In this brief summary, I have shown how some of the experiences of energy therapists have a basis in biology and physics. After centuries of neglect, energetic therapies can take their appropriate place in clinical medicine. The great discoveries of biologists and of sensitive body workers are being integrated to give us a deeper understanding of life, disease, and healing. Science cannot take away the ultimate mystery of life, nor can it detract from the spiritual component of healing. We believe that research on the energy therapies can lead to much a more complete understanding of life, disease, and healing.

gratitude meditation - great way to start the day

I found this gratitude meditation on YouTube. I had decided to do a 40 day journey of clearing and expressing gratitude in order to transform my life. I wasn't consistent, but this exercise is GREAT. I hope you will be more consistent than I was, and do this every day for 40 days, along with avoiding toxic foods and substances, getting enough rest, avoiding television and radio, etc, and see if you can manifest exciting changes in your life.

When God Closes a Door, Somewhere He Opens a Window

I had been booted out of the 9 to 5 world yet again in early 2010, and was becoming very discouraged and depressed. I’d been praying about my next step, wanting to increase my understanding of the healing work I’d been doing with a partner for now 18 years. I want this work, that I know to be important and effective, to be somehow acknowledged, if not understood, so I can hold my head up high and tell people with certainty the hazards of living with untreated spirit attachment, and past life and current life trauma lodged in the human energy field. I wish also to be able to offer the treatments, and teach people how to clear themselves.

One day last week I came home from somewhere and Carl was very animated about a documentary he had just seen on Tibetan Medicine. So, I got some books from the library written by Dr. Yeshi Donden, one time physician to the Dalai Lama. In the very first chapter of Health Through Balance, he describes human illness starting from the very biggest picture, of all illness originating from a single cause he calls "ignorance" but which I understand to be the veil of separation between us and God or Oneness- the thing that started the ball of polarities rolling - distilling it down to the fact that there are 404 disorders that can afflict humans (with variations on each, of course, ultimately equaling 84,000 afflictions -all of which of course begin with emotional causes).

Tibetan Medicine Classification of Disease

25% of all disorders are caused by past life trauma
25% of all disorders are caused by early childhood and other current life trauma
25% of all disorders are caused by spirits, and
25%, called superficial disorders, can be remedied merely by a change of diet and behavior patterns.

This came immediately after I had received a response from a woman who has been doing Reiki in Tacoma and Seattle area hospitals. I had been networking and had sent a long description of my experience, focusing on spirit attachment caused by anesthesia, and she provided a detailed reply. Aside from referring me to Highline Hospital in Federal Way, she said I should leave out the talk of "spirits" when applying for any hospital job, and that I should forget about Franciscan and Multi Care Hospitals because they are most certainly influenced by a recent denunciation of Reiki made by a Catholic bishop in NY.

I thought about that for a minute. In order to go do Reiki in a hospital setting, I would have to keep this knowledge to myself - this important information I was given in such glorious detail - and pretend to "unknow" it, that which has been so thoroughly shown to me, that which has such serious implications for all people, particularly Americans. My heart sank. Then the info about Tibetan Medicine came in.

Here's my validation. Somehow, while on our own spiritual and healing paths, Patty and I developed an understanding of the spiritual causes of illness, and proceeded to narrow afflictions down to three of the four above mentioned classifications, and treat in our unique ways. In some cases and particularly more recently, Patty was recommending the use of certain vitamins, supplements, diet changes, as well, which would address afflictions in the fourth category. We had tapped into knowledge older than Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, older than Buddhism, and put it to use. That completely blows my mind.

So, I’m doing what I can, following the thread. There appears to be no place to go, to be trained in Tibetan Medicine. I am making inquiries, but the focus of Tibetan medicine in the USA is largely botanical and herbal.

I’ll keep reading the books, doing my gratitude meditations, and see what happens next. But most important, I feel I have been given the most wonderful validation imaginable – I am somehow tapped into the oldest system of healing on the planet, and if I keep asking, I will continue to be guided. I want to know more, and do more for Humanity.

Introduction

I am seeking opportunities to do Reiki in a professional setting. I was certified in 2002, have done many healings in my home and at client's homes, and have taught classes on Reiki and the Human Energy field. I was the first Reiki Practitioner to be listed on the Complementary Therapy Provider list at Face to Face/Sonoma County AIDS Network in 2003. In 2009, I published a book, Ghost Symptoms: Break the Spell and be Well, available on Amazon.com, recounting my 14 years of collaboration with a psychic healer from 1992 to 2006.

During that time, we formulated a technique called the Claim Your Space technique which can be administered as part of the Reiki treatment. It is based on the idea that "densities" in the human energy field cause illness, and that by making an out loud verbal statement of intent, one can clear one's human energy field of densities, which can sometimes include the spirits of deceased people. We found that when a person's vibrational frequency is compromised by experiencing trauma, using alcohol or drugs to extreme intoxication or over a prolonged period, or going under general anesthesia, for example, he or she can inadvertently become attached by the spirit of a confused deceased person who needs help getting to the Light.

A person in a hospital environment is presumably ill and would be energetically susceptible. The process of being under general anesthesia greatly intensifies the vulnerability. When one is merged with the spirit of a deceased person, one takes on all of their physical symptoms, emotional states, addictions and even food preferences and sexual orientation.

So, in hospital settings you have a bubbly soup of confused souls who died while under general anesthesia or while heavily sedated or in a coma and are not aware of their new condition, and many energetically drained ill people and who undergo surgeries and processes that make them even more vulnerable. These human energy fields collide with lost deceased souls and when the patients wake up post-surgery, they are often burdened with much more than the effects of anesthesia.

We have encountered many people who, after submitting to a surgery requiring general anesthesia, claim to have come home with a whole new set of symptoms, not associated with their original condition. They would repeatedly return to the doctor complaining of new symptoms, be put on some kind of prescription, and their conditions steadily declined, without any sort of logical explanation. When we applied the Claim Your Space technique in combination with Reiki, the clients would claim a complete disappearance of their symptoms within 48 hours. We have facilitated the spontaneous healing of congestive heart failure, thyroid failure, Hepatitis C, AIDS, panic attacks, stroke related paralysis and too many others to recount. The use of Reiki during this process is vastly helpful because the high frequency Reiki energy helps to dislodge the more solid forms in the field, greatly facilitating the clearing process. The Reiki also repairs the vulnerable spots in the field, thereby greatly reducing the client's chances of being reinvaded and suffering unnecessary symptoms. Reiki treatments therefore speed up the recovery process significantly, as well as bring about the elimination of myriad symptoms.

I have spoken to many folks dubbed Reiki Masters who have not received the Dai Ko Myo Master Symbol, and who have no idea how to use the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbol to effect deeper healing. I am currently making myself available to provide the Master Symbol, teach the many uses of Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, as well as the use of the Claim Your Space technique.

Dietary Cleansing is Claiming Your Space

I caught some flack from a friend on Facebook the other day for mentioning my intention to do a 40 day cleansing plan in honor of the Lenten season. If you've read my book, Ghost Symptoms: Break the Spell and Be Well, all this talk about densities will make more sense to you.

Since Claiming Your Space is all about removing densities in your human energy field so that you will feel better, it is logical you would want to clear out your digestive tract. There are obvious health reasons to want to remove the mucoid placque lining in your tract - because it blocks the absorption of nutrients, becomes toxic and leads to disease, and also increases your body weight.

But from an energetic perspective, that dense, dark, putrid mucoid lining of your entire intestinal tract is the largest density a person can have. If you endeavor to use the psyllium shakes and the herbs that loosen the placque, and eliminate that solid mass from your system, not only will you begin to function more efficiently as a physical being and eliminate a huge source of disease, your human energy field will be able to hold more light, and that makes you better in every way.

So, a dietary cleanse is an important part of a spiritual clearing regimen. In ancient Chinese Medicine, they recommend a dietary cleanse at the change of every season. I realized that's what Lent is. Giving up the coffee, carbs, candy, etc, is eliminating major sources of acid from your system. When you eat only the shakes and fresh raw vegetables and fruit, you establish an alkaline condition which leads to elimination of aches and pains, heart disease, cancers of all kinds, skin problems, etc. It all goes hand in hand.

Determining to increase your efforts to connect to spirit at this time aids in dislodging the densities, since you will be bringing in the pure Light of Spirit. Focusing on things you are grateful for changes your emotional set point, which ABRAHAM says has to do with your vibrational frequency. Meditating on things that make you feel good, joyful, etc, raises your emotional setpoint which makes your vibrational frequency more attuned to Spirit, you are able to hold more light and then you can manifest your dreams. When you're bogged down by densities and negativity, your powers to effect your life in a positive way are significantly compromised.

This is the perfect time to renew your gratitude for having a human body and to rededicate yourself to living a life full of personal impeccability, transparency and love. Connecting to spirit is the point, and eliminating blockages that prevent receiving the light will give you an amazing transformational experience.

Heart Transplant Recipient Kills Self like Donor

Here is an interesting case of the recipient of a donated heart who marries the donors wife and then commits suicide in nearly the identical manner, twelve years later. It's a classic case of spirit attachment, I think, because after writing to thank the donor's wife, he met and fell in love with her, despite an age difference of almost 30 years. They married, and then the for some reason, he decided to shoot himself after 12 years of marriage.

The medical world is referring to common phenomena like this as cellular memory. But how does cellular memory cause a man to fall in love with the same woman as the donor? I think a much easier and logical explanation would be, the donor's spirit never went to the Light and is now influencing the host.

At the end of the article it says there are more than 70 documented cases of transplant patients taking on some of the personality traits of the donors. I have heard the statistic that up to 2/3 of all donor recipients experience some kind of "residual effect" from the donor. Doesn't anyone REALLY want to know what is causing this? An Acknowledgment of spirit attachment would greatly facilitate the transplant process.

I think all medical professionals involved in organ transplant should be made aware of my Claim Your Space exercise. The exercise should be incorporated into the transplant process. Every organ should be energetically cleared in the moments after it is removed from the host and before it is transplanted into the recipient. Or better, every donor's body should be cleared to make sure the deceased person's spirit goes to the light, before removing and transplanting the organs. It only takes about a minute, and anyone can be trained to do this. It would be better if the medical personnel could just go ahead and do it.

Many organ donors die suddenly, and those souls need to be oriented to their new, deceased condition. They tend to believe they are still alive, and might follow one of their organs into a new body. The problem extends to patients who die in the hospital during surgery, or while heavily sedated, or while in a coma.

Even if you're dealing with a traumatic imprint, rather than the entire spirit of a person, there will be a feedback loop - and the new recipient can take on attributes and symptoms of the deceased. In either case, the Claim Your Space exercise will clear the "predecessor" energy, making the organs clear for transplant. It would eliminate a whole host of medical issues, not to mention physical, mental and emotional issues.

Sylvia Plath's son commits suicide

Here is another interesting case - another possible case of "Nesting" when one suicide victim chooses not to go to the Light, but rather to those she left behind.

Nicholas Plath died by his own hand - by hanging - in 2009, after battling depression for many years. Not only did Nicholas's mother Sylvia Plath, commit suicide during his infancy by asphyxiating herself in a gas oven, but six years later, his step mother died the same way after killing her four year old daughter.

From the perspective of spirit attachment, it seems extremely likely that Sylvia stayed behind, attaching herself to her widowed husband Ted Hughes's next wife. Poetry exists which shows Sylvia's anger and bitterness toward her husband. It is common knowledge that they separated when Nicholas was 9 months old, due to Ted's affair with another woman, Assia Wevill. Several months later, Sylvia took her life.

Sylvia may have interfered with Ted's next relationship intentionally, or might simply have wanted to continue to be with her children. Since the suicidal person feels she has failed in her attempt because she feels her life has not been completely extinguished, she can find herself in the body of a loved one, continuing to want to kill herself once and for all. Because Assia was inclined to kill her own child and then kill herself, it seems likely that Sylvia's anger was influencing Assia's thoughts, words and deeds. It may all have been about causing pain to Ted.

It is also likely that, after the second wife killed herself, the spirit of Sylvia Plath may have gone to her youngest child, her son Nicholas, and stayed with him all of his life. Of course, she would have had no malintent towards her son, only perhaps guilt for abandoning him, and she may never have known that by staying with him, she caused his severe depression and eventual suicide.

I wanted to know what may have caused Sylvia's depression, and found that her strict and apparently cruel father had died of complications of diabetes when Sylvia was 8 years old. It could be considered slow suicide, since Otto thought his symptoms were due to having cancer, and he neglected medical treatment until it was too late. It appears perhaps he felt inclined to stay with his young child, as parents do, and caused her years of depression and misery. Shortly before her death in 1962, she wrote a poem entitled "Daddy", indicating she felt haunted by her dad, referencing her first suicide attempt when she "tried to get back, back to you."

From the perspective of spirit attachment, I think it all started with Otto Plath, who didn't want to abandon his parental post when he died, and inadvertently caused his daughter Sylvia a life of morbid thoughts and emotional pain, by remaining with her. This attachment would keep the pain of their relationship and memories of the abandonment caused by his death fresh and agonizing for her on a daily basis.

I can only hope that if Otto and Sylvia were attached to Nicholas, they finally went to the Light...

The Scott Dyleski case

Teen Held in Bizarre Slaying was the headline in the San Francisco Chronicle in October 2005.

The paper featured three of the young man's school portraits, to elucidate how much he had changed over the a two year period. The case has had wide attention and is the subject of much hysteria around Demonic possession. Some say that due to the publishing of this article, public opinion was swayed against him - a minor whose identity probably should have been protected, even if he were convicted - and he was convicted on all counts.

I have no opinion either way, and only wish to highlight the obvious clues I found in the article to indicate the young man was most probably attached by multiple spirits, and that it all began with the death of his older sister.

"Authorities have arrested a 16 year old boy in connection with the killing"

Buried in the 7th paragraph of the article is the "aha" statement for me - "His sister Denika was killed in a car crash two years ago at the age of 18..." "Whatever his personality, students said he wasn't known for trouble."

it says, "One student who knows Dyleski said the teenager was a typical kid until the 8th grade when his personality and demeanor darkened noticeably." He was described as a "normal suburban kid who was a boy scout, loved baseball and earned good grades", but Dyleski's life took a turn between 7th and 8th grades.

From the perspective of spirit attachment, it seems obvious that the spirit of Denika went to her brother after she died in the car crash, and from that moment on, his personality changed. This is why it is critical to have the knowledge to Claim Your Space following the sudden death of a loved one.

When a person loses a loved one, the tendency is to find solace in alcohol and in some cases, drugs. This inadvertently compounds the problem by rendering the person's human energy field vulnerable. The shock of the sudden loss of a loved one, compounded by the consumption of mind altering substances can leave a person open to spirit attachment.

I caught snippets in the articles about how he wore eyeliner, silver jewelry and liked to make his own fashions. That sounds more like a girl than a boy to me. I have no way of knowing what kind of personality the sister had, what her interests were, or what, but it is pretty likely her spirit might have been very angry that she was deprived of her life, and that anger may have been demonstrated through her younger brother.

My partner and I were immediately interested in this case and wanted to offer our services, but we weren't sure we would be welcomed, or whether it would have a negative outcome for Scott. Even if we had determined he had attachments and cleared them, it wasn't likely to affect the outcome of his trial.

Over time, a person who is attached, even by a loved one, becomes susceptible to further attachment, especially if drugs and alcohol continue to be used. It is possible Scott became the tool of a negative spirit - if he did the crime.

I wish my book could reach more people so that anytime a loved one passes away, folks have the necessary tools to ensure the spirit goes to the Light and survivors don't suffer for years to come.

Woman Commits Identical Suicide as Stepfather

Here is another classic case of spirit attachment.

Suicide victims tend to feel extremely guilty, as did the woman's stepfather, who murdered his wife, the subject's mother, with a hammer and then leaped to his death off the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York. Sixteen years later, the subject died the same exact way. Spirit attachment is very suspect here, because many suicide victims, feeling guilt for the crimes they committed (including the suicide) tend not to go to the light, but to those they've hurt.

The article says the girl spoke of suicide often, a huge red flag from the standpoint of spirit attachment, and her final words - "It's what I want" ominously remind me that those were probably the thoughts of her long dead step-father, who had wanted it to be over for 16 years.

GROUNDING Exercise

Until I can get my actual recording posted on here, please try this if you are ready to begin the work of clearing yourself and becoming well.

When you're ready, sit comfortably in a straight back chair with your feet flat on the floor. Send grounding cords from the base of your spine, one down each leg, and out the bottoms of your feet to the floor. Send two more from the base of your spine straight to the floor. Then send all four cords all the way to the center of the earth, and anchor them there like the 4 legs of a chair.

Bring the earth energy back up the cords and back to the base of your spine, and let that area (root chakra) fill up with grounding earth energy. Then bring the energy up to the 2nd chakra and let it fill up. Bring the earth energy up to the 3rd, then 4th charkas and let them fill up. Let the earth energy go down your arms and out the palms of your hands. From the heart area (4th chakra), bring the earth energy up into your 5th chakra, in the throat and neck area, and let it fill up. Bring the earth energy into the center of your head (6th) and then let it go out the top of your head like a fountain.

Now, from that same spot in the top of your head (Crown or 7th chakra), bring in Divine Light, or Universal Life Force Energy, and let it fill up the center of your head with Light. Let it mingle with the earth energies that are already there, to the perfect mix that's right for you, and let that blended energy expand out to the edges of your skin.

Then bring the Light down to the 5th chakra and let it fill up, blend with the earth energy and expand out.

Bring the Light down to the Heart (4th) and let it fill up. Let the Light go down both arms and out the palms of your hands. Let the Light and Earth energies in your heart chakra blend and expand out.

Bring the Light down to your 3rd chakra about 2 inches above the belly button and let it fill up, mingle with the earth energy and expand out.

Bring the Light down to your 2nd chakra, fill up, mingle with earth energy and expand out.

Bring the light down to the base of your spine and let it fill up. Let the Light dissolve any concerns about survival there. Let the light and earth energies mingle in the root chakra and expand out to the edges of your skin.

From the base of your spine, let the Light go down your legs, out the bottoms of your feet, and down all four grounding cords to the center of the earth and let it spill out the bottom there.

What to Do if You Think You're Being Haunted

After 14 years of helping people overcome all kinds of symptoms from paralysis to panic to suicidal depression to congestive heart failure to compulsive smoking/ drinking/ drugging/sexing, I can say with confidence that disembodied spirits or ghosts or entities can intermittently possess you and cause you problems. If they were human once, they need to be sent to the Light. And you can do it. If you don't believe me, read "The Unquiet Dead" by Edith Fiore, PhD; "People Who Don't Know They're Dead" by Gary Leon Hill and "Thirty Years Among the Dead" by Dr. Carl Wickland." There are more. The one by Gary Hill is full of references to other great books.

Even if you think it's someone who isn't harming you, like a deceased relative or loved one, please consider that the spirit may be influencing you so subtly, you don't realize it. The trick is to look for symptoms the deceased had before death, and compare them to yours now. This process is done compassionately, with both your and the spirit's best interests at heart.

Here are a few simple yet powerful things to add to your tool kit.
1. Claim Your Space exercise
2. Hot bath with salt (unless you have Diabetes)
3. Stop using drugs and alcohol until they go away
4. Learn to meditate, ground and open your crown chakra
5. Shield

1. Claiming Your Space.
Say out loud "My name is (State your full name). I claim my space as my own. Any other entity or energy form does NOT have permission to be in my space, and needs to go NOW. I give thanks knowing it is done." You can add, "I ask my guardian angels and healing angels to help clear any entities from me and guide them to the Light, or to wherever they belong." Do this as often as you want. You can even make a tape and play it at night while you're going to sleep. You can talk directly to the ghost and tell it that at some point it died, and no longer has a body. You can tell it, it was meant to go to the Light when it died. You can tell it, there is perfect forgiveness in the light (often they feel guilty about something bad they did in life and believe they don't deserve to go.) You can tell it, it is harming you and it needs to go to the Light. Usually, they don't mean to harm you. You can try to be kind and firm, like with a little kid that's annoying you and doesn't know better. You can even be compassionate to the fact that this person-without-a-body has probably been stuck for a while and WANTS something to change.

2. Hot salt bath.
If you feel you need to add some power to the claim-your-space exercise, run a hot bath, as hot as you can stand it, and put 1/2 cup of salt in the bath. Salt is very pure. It has a powerfully purifying effect. I've been told 1/4 cup Epsom Salts and 1/4 cup Sea Salt will do, but don't wait for the right salt. After you've been soaking and while still in the water, say out loud the claim-your-space exercise. It should work like a charm.
(*Please note - it says on the Epsom Salt box that people with Diabetes should not do a hot salt soak. Please be careful. Thank you!)

3. Stop using your favorite drug, alcohol or other substance.
If you have experienced a dramatic personality change, you might consider that the ghost attached to you is attracted to something you are doing, like smoking cigarettes or pot, drinking a certain kind of alcoholic drink or taking certain drugs. All intoxication, by drugs and all alcoholic drinks, slows your vibrational frequency and makes you more susceptible to invasion. At one psychic institute they used to say, "When you check out, you leave the door open." So, stop using your favorite substances for 4 or 5 days while you do the space claiming.

4. Meditation, Grounding and Opening your crown chakra.
Please try my 8 minute Grounding exercise. All you need to do is listen for 8 minutes, and you should be completely grounded.

5. Shielding.
Once you are grounded, you can intend for the Light to expand from the inside out, getting brighter and brighter until in your imagination, you are absolutely glowing. Lower energy life forms (including ghosts, entities, negative thought forms, and even parasites, viruses and bacteria) can't tolerate the light and move out of your space. You can do this every day. It only takes a few minutes. It's GREAT protection. And for you Indigos out there, while you are connected to the Light in this meditation, you are downloading all the latest information from the Universe, or Source of All That Is. You are getting all the absolute latest upgrades.

A Reading for Sexual Trauma

Here are excerpts from an email reading I did for a woman who was seeking psychic help for ongoing and debilitating physical, emotional and relationship problems.

"Do you have experience with auras?"

"A little bit. Why do you ask?"

"Oh, a "psychic" told me that because of something very bad that happened to me long ago, my aura became completely closed. She said it's invisible and that it can make people react badly to me."

"If it's something that you know about, you can pray specifically to heal it. Sometimes trauma that happens to us in this life happens because there's already an imprint in that area from a past life event. Alot of people have suffered past life trauma, and it certainly can affect you in the here and now. In Buddhism, one of the prayers is to find the "inner magnet" that attracts certain people and circumstances to you, and dissolve it. You would do this with intention, and by monitoring your thoughts, words and deeds on a daily basis, to make sure you are not generating further negative karma for yourself.

You can do alot with prayer. You can talk to your Higher Self or the Universe, or Spirit or God, or whatever works for you, and say that if there IS a problem, please fix it. And give thanks knowing it is done. This is very powerful. There is nothing more powerful on this earth than your own intention.

I know that sometimes we close our chakras at certain areas for certain reasons, and that it can lead to illness. Usually trauma is the number one reason we shut down. So, say for example you had a sexual trauma. Perhaps you may have closed your second chakra, which is the chakra about 2 inches below the belly button, right where a woman's reproductive organs are. Or perhaps the opposite is true, and it is too open, or someone has "corded" you, continuing the abuse on a psychic level. The trauma itself might tend to repeat, so you may attract partners or relationships that tend to try to violate you. That may be what the psychic meant.

Trauma is like a skip in a record. Similar events can happen over and over until it is cleared. Trauma can be like a vicious cycle until it is healed. If, for the sake of example, you were to sit quietly and think about your light body (chakras and aura) and focus on your second chakra, you could ask your guardian angels to make sure it is open appropriately for your greater good. Also ask that any cords be severed and that any holes in your aura be repaired. You can do this with every chakra. The most important thing, though, is to consciously intend to open the crown chakra at the top of your head. That lets in the light that can heal everything, and make stuck issues begin to dissolve.

If this bad thing happened to you in this life, and you are still mad at someone, or haven't forgiven someone, it is very important for your own healing to do your best to let go of this person completely in your heart and mind. If you carry rage or desire for revenge, that can also act like a magnet, bringing further pain into your life. It sounds weird, but if you hold something against someone, right or wrong, it continues the relationship. So, maybe you should do my claim-your-space exercise and kick out any energies that are not yours. In your case it might not be a ghost, but the remaining energy of someone who hurt you. You can evict it, and claim all of your energy as your own. You can also call back any energy that you may have directed at this person, and take it back and bring your energy back into your own light body through the top of your head. You can call back your energy from any person or unpleasant situation that has ever upset or hurt or angered you.
You don't need anyone's permission to take control of your space. It's yours and no one else's. You can use your own healing angels and repair any damage. It's kind of like a big game of pretend, but it really works."

"The "bad thing" was sexual assault -- your intuition was completely accurate. You've given me hope. I can't thank you enough for that. You make perfect sense -- my second chakra was ripped open when I was a child, and I think it was like a beacon to every predator whose path I crossed. I grew up thinking I was completely evil. I have never been able to come to terms with the fact that there were numerous incidents, unrelated to each other, in which I was violated. From the age of three and into my adulthood.

And after reading the things here, I realize that I've carried all of that with me. And it has even led to physical illness in the form of severely painful endometriosis. And I can feel terrible cords holding me to dangerous people. And you are so right -- I need to let all the rage go... because under my surface I am being eaten alive by a suppressed rage. And it's only hurting *me* instead of them. And if I hurt them, then I'm only damaging my own karma.

I'm kind of blown away right now, sitting here stunned and letting it all sink in.

You have done something so truly wonderful, Kelly. I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face -- because all of this is just so incredible. I mean, how much longer would I have suffered with all of this if I hadn't reached out and opened up to you, a stranger on the internet? I'm going to study your blogs about grounding and shielding. I'm going to do everything you recommend.

Do-it-yourself Spirit Clearing not scary

These are excerpts from emails, when I was describing spirit attachment in general.

"Spirits aren't necessarily bad, but they don't belong in the earth realm. They belong in the light. For many reasons, they can get confused and stay when they should have gone. At the very least, they will drain your energy, but it can be much worse than that.

Having spirits attached to you can cause panic attacks, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, depression, mood swings, memory loss, weird physical problems, addictions, food and other kinds of obsessions, etc. It is because you take on all the desires, fears, attitudes, appetites and addictions, general health symptoms of the spirits that are attached to you.

There are many reasons why relatives stay behind, and usually it's motivated by fear that a living family member can't "live" without them. Sometimes guilt keeps them here, too.

But if they had any symptoms or addictions, you will take those on, and that isn't good. If one died of a disease, or was depressed or committed suicide, it can be very harmful to you to have them attached to you.

Many people upon finding a ghost in their house or space express fear that they will upset it, and often think they should just "let it be." I like to think of it this way. Say you moved into a new place, but the old tenant decided to stay behind and live in your closet? How would that be? It's not funny, or cute. You would evict, or call the police and have them evict. It just isn't right.

And don't worry. When you're claiming your space, you're not "dabbling." It's nowhere near as scary a using an Ouija board!!! You are simply stating out loud your intention that your space is your own, and that no other person, entity or energy form has permission to be in your space. And you ask out loud for beings of Light (Angels, if you like) to come and guide any lost spirits to the Light.

This kind of thing is very common, AND you can take care of it yourself. If you let it go, it's like ignoring an infection. It could get worse.

Have a good friend do it with you. Sit in chairs in the area of most disturbance, bring some fresh cut flowers and a candle, maybe and do it in a loving but firm way. Do it all out loud. Believe me, it will work."

Testimonial - Cleared a Haunted House!

Excerpt of Interspecies Communication

I just saw an old friend, John, at the AAA Insurance office. Seems we both had to pay our car insurance at the same time. We hadn't seen each other in several months. He was distraught. He told me about his horse being ill and the events that were to happen that day. My heart went out to him, there in the line.

His horse was to be put down that day. John had had this horse for many years. He felt guilty that he didn't do enough to care for the horse, that somehow the horse's illness was his fault. During the horse's long and progressive illness, both he and his baby became ill, as well. He and his wife had been working hard to manifest prosperity, and were struggling financially. He talked about a miraculous-sounding offer that suddenly arrived by telephone, at the same time his horse was dying. As John was telling me the story, I began to get information, and it continued unfolding in my head as I drove all the way back to work.

I felt compelled to go home and send an email to John's wife. Here are excerpts:
"While still talking to John, I said something, and he said, "Thanks for the guidance." But it wasn't intellectual guidance. It was information I was getting regarding the situation. I said that this was a time of a huge transition, and that all the things happening – he and Amy being sick, the horse being sick, and the cold-call from the mortgage broker, were all signs that today is the absolute ending of a certain phase of your life and that now is the beginning of a new phase. I said something like, "You create your own reality, and the transition is now, so be aware of everything you're thinking, saying and doing."

As I was driving away from AAA, I was saying a prayer for the horse, and I got clear information. I'm assuming it was from the horse to John and to you all.
This is what I heard:

"BE IMPECCABLE. (That was said several times) BE WELL. I LOVE YOU ALL."
The horse indicated that she had chosen to take on the obstacles that were preventing all of you from achieving your dreams and reaching your goals. She wanted specifically John to know that she CHOSE to do this. No one made her sick, she was taking on negative energy on behalf of John, Mary and Amy. She wanted to do this for him.
She said, "GRIEVE IF YOU MUST, BUT ALSO CELEBRATE. THIS IS A TIME FOR JOY AND HOPEFUL EXPECTATION. REMEMBER ME."
She wants you to realize that as of today, your slate is clean. Start manifesting your abundance and all the things you need.

Also, don't get any more horses for a while.
That's basically it.

You're all processing something large. It is about to be totally gone. Whatever you've been working on, be careful not to reinforce the old patterning. Identify any bugaboos that pop up as illusion, and they will disappear.

I hope this makes sense to you!!! I'm sending prayers to the horse and all of you this afternoon.

My Angel Card Reading

A while ago, I had been looking for reassurance and this is what I got. Thought I'd share it with you...

I wrote: "I just saw your Angel Reading posting. I would love it if you could pull a card for me. My question is, should I keep putting out the information about spirit attachment? Or should I forget about it and go find a day job? I'm so focused on it, and I do get a lot of positive feedback, but I also doubt myself. I feel like what I have to offer can help, and I feel very "called" to keep going. And when I think about stopping, and doing a "regular" job, I get very depressed.

"I will of course pull a card for you. Oh and I think that you should continue on your path. Give yourself credit for all the help and guidance you provide. Half the time people only need guidance. You are fortunate that you are able to see how a person is affected by spirit attachment and how to help them. By doing this you provide added help to people. "Trustworthy Guidance" "You've received a wonderful idea as an answer to your prayers. This idea is real and trustworthy. You can safely move forward with it, knowing that we are with you every step of the way. Ask for and be open to receiveing our support for anything that you need related to this idea."

"Do I really need to write out the definition of this card out for you? LOL It jumped out of the deck as I was shuffling...so I guess they wanted to make sure you hear the correct message. The angels gave you this card because they want you to believe in your ideas, which are answers to your prayers, and you can trust them. You'll be supported as you move forward to put your ideas into action, as long as you check in with your angels regularly for continued guidance. If you ever feel vulnerable, ask your angels to reassure you with emotional, spiritual, and material comfort."

Success Story - She Claimed her Space!

This story highlights many of the typical symptoms that can happen when a person is hosting multiple spirits. Panic attacks, fatigue, confusion, loss of attraction to her partner, a change in how she felt about cleaning her house. It's a really important thing for people to read. Sometimes people live with symptoms, or get used to them, and it's not until they read a testimonial like this that they realize they, too, have changed. And I think it's really important for people to realize what can happen when they go under general anesthesia. It's a double whammy- your consciousness is forced out of your body by poison, then your physical body is cut open. How much more vulnerable can you get?" Here it is.

Client - "Thank you. BTW what is Claiming? Didn't understand that."

Kelly –The thing I'm putting out to people is "claiming your space." Whenever someone has a very stubborn illness, one that is not typical or doesn't go away, I suspect negative energies stuck in the body. The energies could be a trapped spirit, or residuals from a traumatic event you may have experienced in this life or a past life. If the illness occurs in a particular part of your body, you may know if you sustained any kind of abuse in your childhood that would have affected you in that area. Or if you ever had surgery and were put under general anesthesia, you could have come home with the spirit of someone who had (and maybe died of) those exact symptoms.

Even if you're not sure, it doesn't hurt to say the words that I have posted in my blog, to intend to claim your space, in case there is energy in there that doesn't belong to you. It can't hurt if it turns out there was nothing, but it can help a great deal if you did have something there, and it goes away. Many times, I've seen symptoms vanish when people claim their space. When a person says, "My name is _____. I claim my space as my own. Any other person, spirit, entity or energy form does NOT have permission to be in my space and needs to go now." It is my understanding that the energy must move. See my blog for the more expanded version of this statement.

In some instances it doesn't happen right away, and then investigation is in order. Like if it's grandma, and you're having the same symptoms she had, and she doesn't go away right away because she thinks she's helping by staying around. If a relative is in someone's space, they usually don't realize they're making someone sick. Then, once you think you know who may be sharing your space, you can speak specifically to that person and explain that they are dead, and that they are unintentionally harming the host."

Client – "Thank you for you sharing your knowledge with me. I will try it tonight. Both my husband and I have had numerous surgeries, and I have felt extremely weak since my initial surgery. I could never make it out. Why am I weaker and sicker now after all the weight loss? I guess this makes alot of sense."

Kelly – "A lady from the Bay Area called me a few weeks ago, after seeing our ad in the Share Guide. She said she wouldn't normally consider anything to do with "spirits" until her symptoms got really weird. In April, she'd had a nine-hour surgery. She has been continually fatigued, and came home with different symptoms than she had when she went in. Now it's November and she's been thinking, "I wonder if I'm dead?" She said to me, "I know that's not right, because I'm NOT dead..."Luckily, for her, that's an obvious sign that someone else was in her body. Sometimes you don't get such an obvious sign.

If your personality changes, or you suddenly desire foods or drinks or other things that you didn't like before, those are obvious signs. Lack of energy level is an obvious sign that someone could be sharing your space. In the case of couples, if one of you suddenly loses attraction for the other, you might have a spirit of the opposite sex attached to you.

Client - "I just wanted to say thank you sooo much. I have had two major surgeries and was under anesthesia for a long time. So has my husband. WE both feel super fatigued. I even started to wish I was dead. I couldn't take it anymore. I hate being sick. I am not the whiny type, the complainer. Usually if I got sick I would go lie down until it passed.

Now after my surgeries, I have even lost my sexual interest, which is weird. I felt like it wasn't me. I can't explain. Well I started thinking hard and long about what you told me and, to me, it made sense. I mean, I used to be fat and feel as strong as an ox. Now I can't even lift things. I feel like I am 100 years old. My drive was gone. I couldn't even clean my house. I used to be anal retentive about cleanliness and now, I didn't care. Didn't have the energy. Didn't have the drive.

Well, the other day, in the kitchen, I thought I fainted. My husband says that I was never really out, although I felt like I was out. I remember joking around with him...and then I started to see everything go black. I called him, and I thought I said "I'm fainting," 3 times. He says I never said it. I held on to the end of the counter and fell down slowly, since I was holding on. I have felt someone in my kitchen before, mind you. Other psychics have told me someone is there. I fell to my knees and, for a second, I could see myself in this darkness... I could hear myself talking, but far, far away. It was really strange. It felt like maybe15 seconds of it.

My husband helps me up and I come to... Oh, in the darkness it was peaceful. Well as soon as he starts talking to me, I opened my eyes and realized what happened. I started to feel pain in my body again. I even got a panic attack from it. Now, it has been thrown out there that I might have tried to astrally project or something, but I have never had nothing like this happen to me. I never even tried to astrally project. So I had a panic attack. My body hurt. I felt tired and clouded. I went to lie down, and fell asleep. Now, that day I made up my mind that I might have an attachment as you said. So when I woke up I was still weak. Could barely walk.

I sat down and started saying what you told me (the Claim Your Space exercise), over and over and over. About "this is my body I claim it"..... over and over. At night I said "This is it. Either I die or you move on." And I said my prayers and fell asleep saying the exercise over and over... Well at I don't know what time, I remember waking up... I felt something or someone. So I said it (the claim your space exercise) over and over again. Finally, I see what are like 4-5 shiny orb-like balls of light coming out of my body and all going into what looks like an envelope. The envelope seals and, immediately, I feel refreshed. I feel like myself. I knew something had happened and wanted to let you know.

I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't I was sooo energized. It was incredible. Around 2:15 AM, I was ready to get up and start my day. I tossed and turned all night. My poor husband complained that he couldn't sleep. That morning I woke up so refreshed, my husband thought I was crazy. He said that he thought I would soon crash and burn. So yesterday I cleaned my house. The majority of it. I still had energy left over. In the night my tendonitis acted up, but that was it. No added tiredness or pain anywhere. My husband is amazed at the change. Today I woke up early again. Feel great. Not tired or anything. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don't know how wonderful I feel. I haven't felt this healthy and strong in over 4 years."

On suicide and spirit attachment

People think suicide runs in families. It can, but not necessarily for "genetic" reasons. The after effects of suicide can be complicated, for both the victim and any survivors...

Suicide is unique in that the act is "condemned" religiously. The church proclaimed that these people wouldn't be allowed in Heaven. Therefore, when a person commits suicide, he or she may not even try to go into the Light, even if they can see it. They believe they are not welcome there. Occasionally, depending on the cause of death, the spirit can be confused, thinking they failed in their attempt. They may go to a loved one and hang around. They can attach themselves to loved ones. Then the loved one gets depressed, can't forget, can't get over it. The loved one gets suicidal too… This is a phenomenon called nesting. It's dangerous because if the suicidal spirit thinks it failed, it may keep trying to commit suicide, only now it's in someone else's body.
When a suicidal spirit doesn't go to the Light, it usually goes to family or loved one, or may float around within a certain group or in a certain area. This is not only dangerous physically for them, it is also not good for the spirit.

The spirit needs to know that it is welcome in the Light, and is free to move on to its next step. You can do a simple ceremony, claiming your space and saying goodbye and calling on help from angelic beings and guides.

If you EVER know of someone who commits suicide, you should try to do a clearing, especially if someone else is now completely devastated, or using the same drugs or alcohol as the deceased, or behaving like the deceased person did. When you talk to the spirit, reassure it, it is WELCOME in the Light. There is nothing to FEAR in the Light. There is only Love and Perfect Understanding in the Light.

Recapitulation Exercise - calling back your energy

The purpose of this exercise is to rid yourself of any residual energies that may be in your body following any trauma - an assault, an act of betrayal, a violation. Those who have experienced early childhood trauma often carry around a traumatic imprint at the site of injury, as well as in the emotional body.

Many times, disease and illness manifest in areas of traumatic imprinting. The invisible scars are just as present as a physical scar left by an accident or injury. Density builds up, like scar tissue, in the human energy field, and that density interferes with the free flow of energy necessary for you to feel complete, and fully functional.

It is possible to remove this imprinting with intention, energy healing and this simple breathing exercise. It is yet another must-have to add to your "jewelry box" as one reader put it.

You can do this exercise for severe cases of abuse, as well as even minor events that happen in the course of the day. If someone was rude to you or hurt your feelings, and you can feel yourself internalizing that feeling of pain or anger, quickly do the recapitulation exercise and get rid of the energy before it settles in and does you any harm.

This exercise is also good for people in co-dependent relationship, who feel pained or negatively affected by the decisions of another. You will have a more healthy relationship if you disentangle your energies with this exercise.

Recapitulation is an exercise where you turn your head from side to side, inhaling and exhaling. You will do a round of ten complete breaths.

Inhale, turning your head to the left. On the inhale turn, envision pulling any of your energy back from the person you've been projecting anger, rage or blame at, and bringing your own energy back to a ball above your crown chakra at the top of your head.

On the exhale, turn your head from left all the way to the right. As you do this, you are expelling any energy that the tyrant might have left in you, or that you are holding onto, and sending it back to him. You do this ten times.

First, sit up straight and ground yourself with my grounding exercise, or any grounding exercise of your choice. When you are fully grounded, imagine the person you are entangled with - the person who violated you, the person who upset or betrayed you -standing in front of you, facing you.

On the inhale, you are going to pull out of the abuser/tyrant, any residual energy of yours that my still be in him, including rage, blame, desire for revenge, desire for apology, guilt, etc. With each in breath, you will scan every cell of his physical, mental, emotional bodies and human energy field, pulling your own energy out and putting it in a ball above your own head. You are going to reclaim and purify your long lost energy and bring it back into your body at the end of the exercise.

On the exhale, intend that you are scanning your entire being for energy that this person may have left in you, or that you may not have been willing to let go of. You are going to vacuum your body and human energy field on the exhale, depositing this person's energy into a ball above his head. It would not be impeccable to force it back into him. Rather put it in the ball above his head so that he can choose to take it back or not, but the energy is fully removed from you.

Do this inhaling to the left and exhaling to the right, slowly, ten times. All the while visualizing separating your energies.

After the tenth and final breath, you will completely detach from all of the energy you have deposited above the head of your abuser.

Then, imagine the ball of your own new found energy, in a ball above your head, being purified with Divine Light. This is a gift to yourself, this energy that you have been missing for so long. When you are ready, bring your new found, purified energy in through the crown chakra, at the top of your head, and let the energy come all the way through your light body, coming to rest in the places that need it the most.

Spirit Attachment Questionnaire

Paranormal Investigators intermittently possessed?

I was recently invited to a local paranormal group's meeting. They dicussed ethics in the workplace, and were complaining about certain members of the crew who would bicker amongst themselves and "swear incessantly" while setting up cameras in someone's house.

I asked the Executive Director later by email, whether he had ever considered that these bickering, swearing camerapersons might be being intermittently possessed. If you were a ghost and you didn't want to be detected by these cameras, wouldn't the best place to hide be in the body of a camera person, who stays BEHIND the camera?

They had invited me to nail down a possible date for them to come over and film me doing an energy healing/spirit depossession session. They offered to use their thermal imaging cameras to try and catch something coming out of the body of my client.

I think my do-it-yourself space claiming kit might be a good thing for all paranormal investigators to have.

After all, isn't it usually "Sensitive" people who go into this business anyway? They tend to be more susceptible to spirit possession than others.
